About Us
ICT is a UK-based precision engineering company specialising in the manufacture and assembly of high-accuracy micro components for advanced technology applications. With over three decades of experience, we support organisations that require exceptional precision, repeatability and reliability—whether for early-stage research, complex prototyping or low-volume production.
Our History
Founded in 1991, ICT began as a specialist manufacturer of magnetic recording heads for data storage systems. This work demanded micron-level accuracy, tight process control and a deep understanding of materials and micro-scale assembly. These early foundations continue to define how we operate today: engineering every process for precision, quality and consistency.
As technology evolved, so did we.
Ten years on, we expanded into industrial inkjet printhead component manufacture, working closely with leading OEMs to produce critical parts such as charge electrodes, nozzle plates and phase detectors. To meet the stringent performance and reliability requirements of inkjet systems, we invested in the ability to bring this advanced processes in-house.
This included capabilities such as wafer processing, dicing, wire bonding, thin film deposition and micro laser welding—skills that now form the backbone of our wider engineering services.
Today, ICT applies this depth of experience across an exciting broad range of emerging and high-technology sectors, including photonics, quantum technologies, medical electronics and semiconductor packaging. Our customers range from innovative start-ups and research institutions to established manufacturers seeking a trusted partner for complex, low-volume or technically challenging projects.
